Craig brings a unique platform of real estate knowledge to VRA, with a storied career in mixed-use real estate and apartment development dealing with building types from apartments, condos,
retail & restaurants, and office to entertainment. He’s proficient at complex entitlement, permitting, design & construction issues and works closely with clients &
municipalities to assure their goals are met.
Craig began his real estate career in 1997 with Heritage Construction as a Project Manager in San Antonio, Round Rock, Dallas & Indiana. In 1999 Craig began his 15 year career with AMLI Residential and was instrumental in developing a pioneering six-block retail mixed-use development in the heart of Austin. Craig led the charge for AMLI Residential in partnership with The City of Austin to implement their vision of urban redevelopment called the 2nd Street District. While overseeing the design, construction and management of the project he recruited and negotiated scores of upscale shops, service users, theater and restaurants while managing the design & construction process for each user. Along with the development of the 2nd Street District he actively searched for new sites and helped develop numerous multi-family projects in Austin, Dallas and Denver. He has had an active hand in developing, entitling and or the acquisition of over 3,500 apartment units.
Craig has received numerous Honors & Awards including: Austin Business Journal Best Mixed-Use Project, Texas Society of Architecture Design Award, and The Excellence in Economic Development Award for communities from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
Craig attended The University of Arizona and The University of Texas where he was the Captain of the UT swim team earning a National Championship in 1996 and All-American honors 10 times. He also received the Earl Campbell Scholarship for Leadership. Craig is married to Sandy Brockman and has two children Brooke & Jet. He loves new adventures and is an avid off road racer competing in the Baja 500, Baja 1000, & Mint 400.
As a partner with VRA Commercial Real Estate, Zac focuses on urban, mixed-use real estate and their development, project leasing, and acquisition & disposition needs. He has handled project leasing for multiple high-profile developments including the 2ND Street District, Sylvan Thirty, Preston Hollow Village, and Mockingbird Station. He also brokers a number of urban redevelopment sites in Downtown Dallas and Fort Worth.
Zac Porter began his real estate career in 2002 by participating from initial envisioning to stabilization for So7 Fort Worth, a multi-phase, high profile, $275 million, urban mixed-use
development encompassing town-homes, condominiums, apartments, retail, office, hospitality, and senior housing components. He also engaged in raising equity & debt financing, analyzing
projects & developments, performing due diligence, and facilitating transaction closings.
Prior to entering real estate, Zac was an advertising executive with The Richards Group, the largest advertising agency in the Southwest. His portfolio of clients included hotels, restaurants, and various retailers.
Zac attended The University of Texas at Austin where he Majored in Advertising and Minored in Business. He currently holds a Texas Brokers License and is a Board Member of Uptown Dallas Inc., an Oak Lawn Committee Member, and a Board Member of Dallas Round Table. In his free time, Zac enjoys traveling – from the world’s great cities to remote surfing villages – with his wife, Emily Ray-Porter, and regularly participates in various marathons and triathlons.

Currin Van Eman Joined VRA Commercial bringing over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, development, and private equity. He has extensive experience in all asset classes of commercial real estate including; retail, restaurant, office, self-storage, multi-family and land. Here he will continue his diverse practice in all areas with a focus on ground-up development and re-development, retail, restaurant leasing and site-selection and land for commercial development.
Prior to joining VRA Commercial, Currin was Senior Vice President for UCR Urban (now CBRE) where he focused on Retail and Restaurant Representation, as well as large project brokerage, leasing and new project development. While at UCR Urban, Currin represented the seller and successfully negotiated the Landmark sale of the 1.3 Million square foot Hill Country Galleria to buyers Invesco and CALstrs “California State Teachers Retirement System”. The Galleria sits on nearly 100 acres and is a mixed-use Luxury Lifestyle Center in Austin, Texas consisting of Retail, Restaurant, and Office space as well as a luxury hotel and is home to Bee Cave City Hall. The Blockbuster deal earned Currin the award for largest retail transaction of the year in the 2015 Austin Commercial Real Estate Awards.
Before making the move to UCR Urban, Currin was Vice President of Restaurant, Retail, and Development for REOC Austin. His practice at REOC concentrated on restaurant and retail leasing as well as urban in-fill mixed-use re-development. Currin has handled high profile restaurant leases in the Austin area, such as The Capital Grille, Searsucker, Crave and Blackfinn Ameripub. Currin has also handled restaurant site selection assignments for numerous clients in the Austin and San Antonio markets including, Front Burner Concepts, Free Range Concepts and Blackfinn Ameripub.
Prior to REOC Currin served as Vice President of World Class Capital Group, a private equity investment firm based in Austin. While at World Class, Currin was involved in all aspects of the firms operations and was directly responsible for acquisitions, as well as marketing and leasing operations for the firm’s commercial real estate portfolio. He managed the firm’s third party leasing teams, transaction negotiations and direct leasing of core urban assets totaling over 1 Million square feet.
During his career, Currin has been involved in over $1 Billion in real estate transaction activity and has directed and managed the acquisitions, re-positioning and marketing operations on over 3 Million square feet of commercial real estate across all asset classes. He has also sourced and raised equity capital from high net worth private clients, family offices, pension funds, and charitable foundations for commercial real estate acquisition and sourced debt capital for acquisitions through commercial banks, bridge lenders and life Insurance companies.
Currin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Economics and Business, and attended the Harvard Business School’s executive education program – Negotiation and Competitive Decision Making. He is a Licensed Texas Real Estate Agent, and member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and Real Estate Council of Austin.

Since leaving UCR Urban, Harrison has split his time between New York and Dallas consulting for hospitality companies in both the hotel and restaurant sectors. Current clients actively expanding both the Metroplex and nationally include Royal Blue Grocery, Mudsmith Coffee, Pints & Quarts, and Barcadia.
After receiving his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin, he went on to focus 16 years in the construction materials industry and following that, 16 additional years in the title insurance industry, Dan is a proud member of the commercial real estate industry in Austin. Originally from Chicago, Emily moved to Austin two years ago to live in a smaller scaled urban city and to be closer to family. She worked directly with business owners to provide marketing expertise and integrated media solutions to stimulate growth so their businesses thrive.
After relocating to Austin, Emily joined the DEN Property Group as the Director of Operations and Marketing serving both the Real Estate and art gallery side of the company. In August 2015 DEN merged with VRA adding a commercial real estate division to the company. After working nearly 2 years with DEN Emily seamlessly transitioned into her role as the Director of Operations and Marketing for VRA.
To further expand her responsibilities Emily became a licensed real estate agent and strives to go above and beyond in every interaction with clients, customers, and real estate partners. She is able to leverage her strong organizational skills, analytical know-how, attention to detail, and relational management foundation in her many roles.
Emily graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Communications, and has lived in Canada, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Ohio, Australia, Illinois, and Washington D.C. She is a certified Vinyasa and hot yoga instructor and has been practicing Bikram yoga for over 12 years. She is on several charitable committees, Breakthrough Austin, Safe Place, Ronald McDonald House, and the Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Junior League of Austin.
Born and raised in Houston, Kelly moved to Austin to attend college in 2007 and fell in love with this city. Upon graduating from The University of Texas with a Bachelor's in Real Estate Finance,
she furthered her interest in real estate at SiteSource USA and Rankin Companies. Kelly is proud to call South Austin her home, where she resides with her husband and two chocolate labs. In her
spare time, Kelly loves traveling and all things active including volleyball, soccer, running, lifting, yoga and soaking up the outdoors.
Megan got hooked on Austin during a university internship and moved here in 2009 after earning her B.S. degree in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University. Prior to joining the
Viceroy + DEN team, she worked in the landscape architecture field and in retail management, as well as starting and continuing to operate a successful screen-printing business. When searching
for and purchasing her first home in 2011, Megan became fascinated with the real estate business and decided to pursue it as a career.
